if you were born outsida canada, and you gave birth to your daughter outside canada, and the father is not canadian, she most likely is not canadian. you can take her to canada with you, however, and sponsor her as a permanent resident.

Am I a Canadian?

So my Father called yesterday and is very enthusiastic that he will be a Canadian again. He was born in 1948 in Manitoba to Canadian citizens and moved to the US when he was 5 years old and lost his citizenship. I was born in Washington State in 1976 and am wondering if I am considered a "first generation born outside the country."
